Located near the scenic Chandrabhaga Beach on the eastern coast of India, Chandrabhaga Lighthouse stands as a vital aid to navigation and a prominent coastal landmark in Odisha. Commissioned in 1967, the lighthouse overlooks the Bay of Bengal and is situated approximately 3 kilometers east of the iconic Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The tower rises to a height of 36 meters and is painted with striking black and white bands, making it a visually distinct structure against the coastal skyline. Equipped with a modern lighting system, the lighthouse continues to serve mariners navigating the eastern seaboard of India

In addition to its operational significance, the lighthouse has emerged as a key attraction for tourists seeking a blend of maritime heritage and natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the sea and surrounding landscapes from the top gallery, making it a popular stop for photography and coastal exploration.

Managed by the Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Kolkata (DLL Kolkata), Chandrabhaga Lighthouse is part of the national initiative to promote lighthouse tourism in India, offering visitors an enriching experience that combines history, technology, and nature.
