The Campbell Bay DGPS station is situated in the southeast part of Great Nicobar Islands. Campbell Bay is a village in the Nicobar district of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Island has a coastline of 202 km and is lying 523 km south from Port Blair. This station was established in year 2010 after destruction of Indira point lighthouse station during Tsunami 2004. The DGPS Station provide AtoNs services to the marine traffic on Sri Lanka-Singapore International voyage route. The DGPS station is also equipped with NAIS for the safe navigation of both national and the international seaborne merchant traffic through the exclusive economic zone of the country. The DGPS station at Campbell Bay is connected via Sea from Port Blair through Directorate Shipping Services vessel or Departmental Vessel .The station is also connected by Helicopter services from Portblair. The basic facilities like Medical, market are available within 03 KM from the station.
