Balachadi's history is deeply intertwined with the rulers of Nawanagar and their summer resort, and later with the establishment of the Sainik School and the refuge it provided to Polish refugees during World War II. The area was once a seaside resort for the rulers and later became the site of a camp for Polish children who were rescued from Soviet concentration camps.
Balachadi is a village in Jodiya Taluka of Jamanagar district, Gujarat, which is approximately 28Km far from the city Jamnagar. Balachadi station is part of a broader coastal VTS network in the Gulf of Kutch. A RCC circular tower Height of height 50 Mtrs was constructed and a X-band radar had been installed on it. The station is in operation since 13 February 2012. The Balachadi VTS Station is strategically located to cover tracks of sector-I of VTS-GOK
